Finca Telereta’s pistachios are the result of the effort, work, and passion of our family, a family that, after having lived in Shanghai, China, decided to return to the village, return to their roots and start this life project in the countryside, betting on the agricultural and livestock sector and life in the rural world.
With our pistachios, we want to promote the products exactly as they come out of the field, just as they turn out after the harvest. That is why we do not roast or salt our pistachios, but we offer them in their natural state, enhancing the original flavor of the pistachio and offering each of you the opportunity to consume them in their natural state or transform them into your own project, writing your own story with them.
We are located in Parada de Rubiales, a small village in the region of Armuña in Salamanca, Spain. The 10-hectare plantation is made up of almost 4,000 pistachio trees of the Kerman (the females) and Peter (the males) varieties, all of them grafted on the UCB-1 rootstock and placed in a 5×5 meter planting frame.
In our plantation, we apply the just and necessary phytosanitary treatments. We do not use herbicides at all and apply other phytosanitary treatments (fungicides, insecticides) when strictly necessary. Thanks to this, our farm, apart from being an awesome pistachio orchard, is also a breeding ground for wild fauna: hares, partridges, rabbits, and other animals that we see and care for all year round.
We work with our fellow farmers and ranchers in the area to promote our products locally, nationally, and internationally, so that everyone who wants a little piece of our origin can get it, and we do this whilst fighting to achieve fair prices and the respect that our primary sector deserves.
